Crowd Control Part 2: In Field Instigation

"I'm on the phone with somebody who told me there's a gas leak and told me to do all this stuff"

This is a microcosm for what happens in America. People get their information from a sole source, the AP wire, and then the media instructs them on how to respond. The media persists with an authoritative delivery and eventually people comply with the prescribed "solution."

This example may be excusable, but the following series is not:

Irrational behavior results from forces like loss aversion, fear, and commitment to path already started. And most importantly, the assumption that people are who they present themselves to be.

Frank Abagnale Sr.: You know why the Yankees always win, Frank?
Frank Abagnale, Jr.: 'Cause they have Mickey Mantle?
Frank Abagnale Sr.: No, it's 'cause the other teams can't stop staring at those damn pinstripes.

I like what the guys at Oracle broadcasting say about media analysis. To add to what they said, I like to ask the following questions when reading the news:

Does this info empower you
Is it actionable Intel
Who is distributing this
Who is their target audience
How many covered this same story
Who is glorified / demonized in this story
Who benefits from this depiction
Is the audience's reaction predictable
What is ignored
Who is / isn't quoted
What nlp frame / state is summoned
Is this powerful enough to pattern interrupt
How does this fit on today's menu of news stories
What esoteric agenda is pushed
Does the story parallel an ancient myth or parable
What behavior is driven by message
Is there an underlying sale of some issue or person
What language / comments / consensus is formulated by 'thinkers'
What does this story test or measure in terms of peoples' reactions
Is this redefining some concept
What values does this chip away at
Where is $ allocated
Dates / symbols / astrological elements
What gematria numbers are used

Don't get your ideas from the media. Ideas become belief. Belief becomes perception. Perception becomes reality. Decisions are based on reality. Decisions determine behavior / character. Don't ever assume people are who they present themselves to be. Remember that humans are predictable under the right circumstances. Beware of our limitations.

Rob Bredl on Killer Instinct - "what I'm going to show you here is how predictable the crocodile is" and "I wouldn't do this if it wasn't like that"
